Last weekend, July 12, 13 and 14, there were a lot of Friesian horses participating in the 3 Day Event from the Ontario Carriage Driving Association at the farm of Jon and Annemarie Steenbeek.

Friday was a Combined Test (CT) with dressage and cones. Saturday and Sunday was the Horse Driving Trials. Dressage and Cones on Saturday and the marathon on Sunday.

Junior drivers Leah Steenbeek and Logan Vervoort were both driving a Single Friesian horse and did very well in their dressage and cones.

In the marathon, the Friesians were also well represented. Bouke Feenstra and Karin Van Wely both driving singles while Nanda Vervoort and Sarah Steenbeek were driving pairs. Jordan Steenbeek doubled it up by driving his four in hand and Jon Steenbeek drove in the tandem challenge.
